Spirit Of The West was Queebly Software’s very second jam game, a part of SXSW Sydney’s Cowboy Jam.
A combat centric platformer where you played as possessed tumbleweed who is guided by a mysterious spirit on a journey of revenge was an ambitious concept to “jam” (please laugh) into a game in such a short time, and we made it happen. Rough edges and ideas we’d love to polish up are par the course with jam games, but 17 fully voiced levels, a boss fight and a twist ending that no one saw coming left us pretty happy with what we came out with.
